Alfredo Sanchez Caballero

Gone to our Lord is a beloved husband, father grandfather, brother and uncle. Alfredo S. Caballero left us on Good Friday, April 3, 2015. He was at home with loved ones by his side at the time of his passing.

He was born to Flora and Alex Caballero here in San Angelo on January 26, 1953. He was preceded in death by both his parents.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years, Elsa. Sons; Abel and Adam Caballero, granddaughter; Nayla, Nadine Caballero, from San Angelo: Maria Caballero, Enedina DeLa Garza and husband Gilbert, Julia Gonzalez and husband Jose Luis, from San Angelo: Alex Caballero and wife Dolores, from Garland, Carmen Aguirre and husband Ruben, from Hurst: Ricardo Caballero and wife Maria Julieta from Odessa. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and other family members who all love him very much and will miss him.

He worked at Levi Strauss and later went to work for Sedona Ranch for 14 years as head of maintenance. While there he established a close relationship with Robbie Groat, his co-worker. He retired from that position in January of this year.

He was Catholic and had a strong love for our Lord. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday April 6th in the Chapel at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A Chapel service will be held on Tuesday, April 7th for 10:00 a.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home with Father Francis Njoku officiating. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, graveside service will be conducted by Deacon Ruben Aguirre immediately following Chapel services.
