As a member of the class of 1944, Alma was considered a “Golden EX” of San Angelo College, today’s ASU. Although these endeavors were important to her, her family was first. She loved her husband and three girls and doted on her ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Howard Huffman; her daughter, Judy Susan Meadows; one brother Edward Werner, and her parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Margaret Eaves and her husband Larry of La Grange, Kathy Alice Stokes and her husband Frank, Jr. of Terrell, and son-in-law, John L. Meadows of San Angelo. Grandchildren include Jennifer, Joseph, and Johanna Gammon; Rachel, Rebekah, Ryan Stokes and Ruthann Valentine and her husband Jeremy; and James, Jason, and Juliana Meadows and her husband Jonathon. Great grandchildren include Kaya and Benjamin Oleson and Caedon and Collin Valentine.
The family requests that memorials be send to the giver’s favorite charities.
