A beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Ashley Marie Ortegon left this world unexpectedly on Monday, November 30, 2020. Born in San Angelo, Texas on September 11, 1994 to Stacy Ortegon and Steven Garza Hernandez.
Ashley is now with her great grandmother, Guadelupe Ortegon; her great grandfathers, Epifono Garza and Jimmie Gilbert Sr. Taylor. Ashley is loved here on earth as well as in heaven.
She leaves behind her two beautiful daughters, Chloe Marie and Arianna Grace Garcia. Ashley will be missed everyday by her mother, Stacy Ortegon; her father, Steven Garza Hernandez; her brothers, Austin Ortegon, Christopher Steven Hernandez and Aiden Noah Ortegon; her sister, Sirena Flores; her grandmothers, Margarita Garza and Margarita Taylor; her grandfathers, Henry John Ortegon, Mike Taylor and Jaun Hernandez, and her loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Ashley lived and loved life every day. Nothing could bring her down with her charisma, strong will and determination. As independent as she was, she would still come home. Friends would say she joked a lot and had a crazed silliness. You would have enjoyed being in her company. Ashley’s stubborn, yet loving and caring personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The relationship she had with her brother, Austin Ortegon, was not like any other. Ashley was an amazing big sister that taught him a lot and always had his back. When her brother would see her, his whole face would light up. The both of them together were unstoppable.
Most of all she loved and adored her children; they were her world. If you were near, you could see her face light up and feel the love she had for her precious girls. Ashley wanted nothing more for them than to have a wonderful life.
Foremost, the bond that Ashley had with her grandmother, Margarita Garza, was unbreakable. Ashley is Grandma’s pride and joy. The support and love for her great granddaughters is unconditionally always and forever. Ashley, Chloe, Arianna, GMA and Yaya (the cat) were the best team ever! Their personalities are one in the same.
“Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean, I’ll miss you until we meet again.”
