Billie Jean Howard Schumpert, 89, of San Angelo, TX passed away on October 2, 2023. He was born on March 27, 1934 in Georgetown, TX to Rennan and Willie Schumpert. Billie was a truck driver for many years. He married Carrol Walker on January 30, 1955 and had seven children. Billie was preceded in death by his parents Rennan and Willie Schumpert; his wife Ann Carrol Schumpert; brother Doug Schumpert and sister Marg Frizzell. Those left to cherish his memory are his children William and Maggie Schumpert of Alto, NM, Elaine and Stephen Williams of San Angelo, TX, Mark and Mary Schumpert of Brenham, TX, Kelly Schumpert of San Angelo, TX, Steve and Laurie Schumpert of Austin, TX, Denver and Melissa Schumpert of San Angelo, TX and Shelly and Don Bunnell of San Angelo, TX. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. A graveside celebration of Billie’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 in Grape Creek Cemetery.
