God blessed us with the arrival of Bobbie Janice Hall on September 23, 1942 in Ripley, MS. She was joyously received into Heaven at the age of 69 on November 2, 2011 after a courageous twelve year battle with cancer.
Bobbie moved from Mississippi to Clint, TX with her family at the age of 9. At age 14, her family moved to Pecos, TX where she graduated high school and met and married Kenneth Bolander in 1960. They settled in San Angelo where they were blessed with two children, Ken and Sherri.
Bobbie was known as an exceptional businesswoman in the legal field. She was employed by W. Truett Smith of Smith, Carter, Rose, Finley, and Hofmann for a number of years. During her working career, she developed a passion for real estate. She never stopped looking for her next acquisition. She was actively involved in three local investment clubs where she made many friends.
From the Pecos River to the Great Wall of China, Bobbie endeavored to see every corner of this world. Some of her adventures included being baptized in the Jordan River, riding a camel in Jerusalem, and kissing the blarney stone in Ireland.
She was known for her kindness and generosity. Bobbie never met a stranger. But, what she was best known for was her love of the Lord and her desire to lead others to know Christ. She walked daily with the Holy Spirit and was a member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her father, Sid Hall, who welcomed her with outstretched arms; and her in-laws, Bruce and Lois Bolander.
She is survived by her precious mother and caregiver for the past two years, Kate Hall Meekins, of San Angelo; Kenneth Bolander, and her two children, Ken and Kassie Bolander of Christoval, their children Kristen and Khloe; Kenny and Sherri Gibson of Montgomery, TX their children Garrett and Leighton; an “adopted” daughter, Melissa Johnson of The Woodlands, TX; two sisters, Billie and Dickie Earle of Lewisville, TX, Jimmie and Johnny Byler of Irving, TX, five nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
