

Cathryn Havins Olsen Chapman, 93, of San Angelo went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in San Angelo. The visitation will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Johnson’s Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kyle Hooks officiating. The Graveside Service will be 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Valley View Cemetery in Robert Lee, TX. Cathryn was born August 26, 1919 in Robert Lee, Texas to Fred. H. and Willie Theresa Lackey Havins. She grew up in Robert Lee and at a young age married the love of her life, Clifton H. Olsen on December 1, 1934 in San Angelo, Texas. Cathryn was very loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who devoted her life to her family and friends. She worked for the City of San Angelo in the water department and retired from there at the age of 62. She then went to work for Cloth World and then Christian Village and retired from there at the age of 82. Cathryn was a strong Christian woman of great faith and was a 70 year member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved cooking, sewing, traveling and dancing and she raised her two granddaughters as her own. She loved life and spent her life working hard and giving to others very selflessly and we will carry her in our hearts forever. Cathryn was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Vera Jean Stiles, her husband, Clifton H. Olsen, her husband Roy Chapman, her brothers, Don, Truman, Raymond and Myrph and one sister Velma Hightower. She is survived her granddaughters, Cathryn Ornelas and her husband Robert, of San Angelo, TX., and Suzen Angle and her husband Bryan, of San Angelo, TX; her grandson, William “Rusty” Moore and his wife, Jennifer, of Fort Worth, TX; 7 Great Grandchildren, Chad Glidewell, of Dallas, TX., Rheana Flores, of San Angelo,TX., Daniel Clifton Flores, of Austin,TX., Andrew Angle, of San Angelo, TX., Alexander Angle, of Waco, TX., Nathan Moore, of Oklahoma and Corey Moore, of Abilene, TX; her 2 Great Great Grandchildren, Gabriella Troncoso, of San Angelo, TX., and Hudson Moore, of Oklahoma; her Sister, Mildred Denman, of Waco, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers for the service will be her grandsons. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Jessie Green, Virginia Torres and Megan and Lillian of Odyssey Hospice, as well as all those from Odyssey, for all of the loving care given to Cathryn.
