Charlie Alexander Wright Jr.

Saturday, February 25, 2012. He was born July 31, 1938 in Carlsbad NM to Charlie Alexander Wright, Sr. and Violet Lorene Faulks Wright but was a Texan through and through. Charlie married the love of his life, Janie Wright, August 12, 1960 in Van Horn TX. She preceded him in death on September 5, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Hayley Klepac, his sister, Eva Mae Wright Stephens Fincher, his brother in law Gerald Lewis and his beloved mother in law Cleo Fowlkes (Bonca). Charlie was an avid, active person his entire life and enjoyed everything he did with passion. These included archery, team roping, cowboy polo, fishing, golf, dancing and his family. He was known for his quick wit and candor and never met a stranger! He retired from Concho Valley Electric Co-Op in 2001 and enjoyed every day of his retirement. He always did what he liked and liked whatever he was doing and made no apologies in the process. He always enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in their various activities and also got to enjoy his two great-grandchildren as well.

Charlie is survived by his sister Mary Lewis of Pecos and his brother Bimbo and Mindy Wright of Gardendale, his three children, Elaine and Shawn Fuchs of San Angelo, Charlotte and Larry Johnson of San Angelo , and Trey and Laura Wright of Flower Mound, as well as eight grandchildren, Monica and Corey Gilbert, Joshua and Amelia Fuchs, Jason Fuchs, Wesley and Shannon Klepac, Cody Klepac, Melissa Fuchs, Casey Klepac and Rachel Wright and two great grandchildren Sophia Fuchs and Ty Gilbert. He is also survived his very, very special friend Retha Hester of San Angelo, lots of nieces, nephews and loving extended family. Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens at 10:00 a.m.
