Poem written for my beautiful baby by James Childress:
“New Wings”
Cheyanne was an angel
Now givin’ her wings
No longer to worry
About worldly things
The Lord, He has called her
To be by his side
She now lives in heaven
Finally able to fly
Her smile will be missed
Her blue eyes a shinin’
Her laughter, her voice
And even her cryin’
She now rests in peace
This we all know
She’s out past the stars
Her halo a glow
Cheyanne is now an angel
Spreading her wings
The family would like to express a special thanks to Alex RN, Hayle RN, and Dr. Flynn; Brandy and the staff at Shannon Medical Center. God bless Kaitlynn Eisenbach, Anissa Rios, Julia Arrango, Forest Jones, and many, many loving friends and caring strangers.
The family would also like to thank the students and community of Christoval and Dove Creek.
Somewhere behind the athlete she became, the hours of practice, the coaches who pushed her, and the fans who cheered for her, is the little girl who fell in love with the sport and never looked back. PLAY FOR HER- S-H-O-O-T, SHOOT CHEYBABI SHOOT. Who loves Cheybabi? I DO!
