

Dana was born February 9, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas and was adopted into a loving family by Ray and Lotus Dittman. He attended Ballinger public schools in the class of 1983 and American Commercial College. Dana lived in San Angelo where he served eleven years in the Army National Guard and was employed by Sitel Corp. He met his wife, Laryssa, in 1996 and they married on October 16, 2009. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, playing the drums, and was a military history and music trivia expert.
Dana was preceded in death by his parents, Lotus A. Dittman, in May, 1982 and Raymond J. Dittman, in November, 1995. He is survived by his devoted wife, Laryssa Martindale Dittman, sister in law, Becky Martindale Casey of Snyder, TX, and three sisters and their families: Jodi and Craig White of Edmond, OK, Robin and Edgar Artecona of Alvarado, TX, and Holly and James Carne of Shady Shores, TX. He is also survived by four nieces: Adrianna White, Alexandria White, Analisia White, and Amalee Artecona; and four nephews: Ryan Artecona, Spencer Carne, Christopher Carne, and Samuel Carne.
Dana will always be remembered by his family and friends as a gentle, kind, and soft-spoken soul, willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. We will always remember his humility, generosity, patriotism, bravery, and dignity.
Dana was loved by his dogs: Sandy, Wolfgang, Natasha, Scooby, and Sasha. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the local Animal Shelter.
