Daniel Thomas Saluri

Daniel Thomas Saluri, 77, of Mertzon, TX passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. He was born on October 29, 1945 in Des Moines, IA to Sam and Victoria Saluri. Dan attended Valley High School in West Des Moines and graduated in the class of 1964. He later went on to obtain his Law Degree in 1973 from Drake University. Dan then relocated to Fairbanks, Alaska where he practiced law for 18 years. In 1993, Dan and his family moved to Lubbock, Texas where he served as the City Prosecutor and Police Advisor for 17 years. In 2010, Dan accepted the position as Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Angelo, where he continued till his retirement in 2021. Dan met his wife, Rebecca Boyd, in Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1979. The two married June 12, 1981 and went on to have 4 children. Dan was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas. Dan had a great love for God, his family, friends and even strangers. Dan will always be remembered for his great love and obedience for God, his sincere smile, generous heart, humility and tremendous love for others. Dan is preceded in death by his father, Sam Saluri ; Mother, Victoria Saluri ; Brother, Sammy Saluri ; Father In Law, David Boyd ; Mother in law, Naomi Boyd ; Brother in law, Devinder Singh. Dan is survived by his wife, Rebecca Saluri ; Sister, Mary Ann Saluri ; daughter, Lauri Wood ; daughter, Lucie Bradford (Lance) ; Son, Darin Saluri ; daughter, Lindsey Saluri ; 8 grandchildren Brittany Wood, Avery Wood, Duke Wood, Hunter Reimer, Stetson Reimer, Kaden Bradford, Luke Saluri and Dockrey Vaughn. Great Grandson Gionni Dancer. Nephews Ben Saluri, Troy Johnston, Sammy Saluri, Norman Huffman, Brooke Dresselhans and Kris Moore, Nieces Jennifer Kopp and Heather Nobler. The family would like to give a special thanks to Angels Care Hospice and Dr Peter Chang. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 @ 1:00pm at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 211 W 17th St in San Angelo, TX.
