Daniel R. Witherspoon went to be with his heavenly father on February 13, 2018. Daniel was born on June 5, 1950. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He served as a medical tech and studied at San Antonio College. Illness forced him to give up his dream of becoming a doctor. Daniel loved sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Aguirre and Cynthia Monroe. A wake service will be held in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, February 18, 2018, at 7 PM with food and fellowship to follow after the service. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM, Monday, February 19, 2018, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. A meal will also be provided at 801 Avondale Avenue immediately following the services.
