

Deborah Gayle Anderson passed away in Christ Jesus on February 20th, 2013. She was born in Ballinger Texas March 16th, 1951. Her parents were Roy Smith Jr. and Lena Mae Smith. She was raised in a rural setting on the outskirts of Ballinger. As a child she loved animals and loved singing.
She was involved in band and choir. She wanted to be a music teacher. As she got older she loved and worked with children.
She was faithful to her church. She worked and taught Sunday school at the Ave. B Church of Christ. She married Daniel Anderson August 10, 1974. She worked in several area schools and especially enjoyed her work at Cornerstone Christian School. Her greatest accomplishments have yet been realized. In all the years that she worked at Cornerstone she shared the Gospel with many. Some have put on Christ in baptism, and others have had the window opened for their future salvation. She worked in a loving and compassionate way.
She is preceded in death by her Father and Mother. She is survived by her brother Dale Smith of Ballinger; her husband Daniel Anderson of San Angelo; her daughter Amiee and husband Frank Galindo of San Angelo; her Son Jacob Anderson of San Angelo; a Grandson Brayden Anderson of San Angelo; one aunt, Marilyn Smith of Canon City, CO; as well as five nieces and two nephews; three great nephews and three great nieces; and a host of first and second cousins as far away as Colorado and Illinois.
Family visitation will be Sunday, February 24th, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Deborah’s life will be held on Monday, February 25th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Frank Berthold and Mike Dickson of Chadbourne North Church of Christ will officiate.
