

Dennis Bernard Kasberg, 77, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 8, 2011 in San Angelo. The Rosary will be 7:00 P.M., Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 12, 2011 at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Greenwell as celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Dennis was born December 26, 1933 in Olfen, Texas to Bernard Joseph and Olga Lange Kasberg. He grew up in Olfen and Rowena and after high school went into the United States Army. Dennis proudly served his country in Germany and after leaving the United States Army he went into the grocery business. He worked for Winn Dixie as a manager for about 30 Years and after retirement bought a ranch in Doole where ranching became his hobby. Dennis was a very loving and caring man who loved the outdoors and loved to go hunting and fishing. He also loved dancing and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and one brother and one sister. He is survived by his children, Joe and Pam Kasberg, of San Angelo and their children Kyle and Kris, Mike Kasberg, of Kerrville, TX, and his children, Ben, Sydney and Brittany, Paul and Sarah Kasberg, of Blanco, TX., and their children, Celia, Helen and Jacob, and Dena Kasberg, of Fredericksburg, TX; Special Friend, Gloria Risher, of San Angelo; his Sisters, Carol Fischer and Nancy Smetana; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers for the service will be Gary Fischer, Robert Fischer, Glen Smetana, Ralph Smetana, Jr., Duane Schniers and Curtis Schniers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
