He was born on October 4th, 1944 in Fairfield, TX to Toussant and Rosie Bell Smith. Dorris attended Butler High School and graduated from the class of 1962. Dorris had a passion for fishing and playing dominos and will always be remembered for never meeting a stranger.
Dorris is preceded in death by his parents, Toussant and Rosie Bell Smith; Ella Mae Love, Lullaby Jackson, Mercedia McMillian, William Smith, Mike Smith, Bertha Durham, Floyd Ray Smith, and Willie Smith. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Rondie Smith (Courtney) of Grand Prairie, Randall Smith of Grand Prairie, Dorris G. Smith Jr. (Sande) of Georgetown, and Derick Smith of Lewisville; A bunch of grandchildren; more great-grandchildren in the works; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Dorris on Friday, August 22nd at 2 pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the good Samaritan who helped Dorris at Roxie’s Diner and would like to invite them to the memorial service to thank them in person.
