Edgar Jackson Bradford (Buck), of Sherwood, TX passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022. He was born on July 4, 1933 in Mertzon, TX to Andrew Jackson Bradford and Mary Emma Hensley Bradford. Buck attended Mertzon High School and married the love of his life, Barbara Ely on October 6, 1956, together they had 5 beautiful children. Buck was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew J. Bradford and Mary Bradford; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, JT and Emma Ely; his brothers, Ted Bradford, Bud Bradford, Dude Bradford and Joseph Bradford; his sisters, Ollie Sellers, Mattie Brownrigg and Betty Salyards; grandson, Zachary and great grandson, Bentley. Those left to cherish Buck’s memory are his wife, Barbara Bradford; his children, Joe Bradford and wife Maite, Mary Bradford, Vickie Bragg, Andy Bradford, and Teresa Robinson; his grandchildren, Shane and Jaclyn Bradford, Troy and Fallon De Hoyos, Maia Bradford, Luken Bradford, Christopher Bradford, Garrett and Brittney Bragg, Amy and John May, Emma Bragg, Jonathon and Laura Bradford, Tami and Chris Sandoval, Colton Robinson and Dallas Robinson, and by his great grandchildren, Troy Alexander, Anthony, Brittani, Jocelyn, Averi, Easton, Finley, Declan, Cian, Aiden, Zachary, Asher, Aleah, Scarlette and Edgar. Buck is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial celebration of Buck’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2022 at The Old Sherwood Courthouse. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shane Bradford, Luken Bradford, Christopher Bradford, Troy De Hoyos, Jonathon Bradford, Chris Sandoval, Garrett Bragg, John May and Colton Robinson. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a memorial donation to the Mertzon Food Bank or The Sherwood Courthouse. The family would also like to thank the staff at Concho Health and Rehabilitation Center, West Texas Rehab Hospice of San Angelo and Shannon Hospital 5S and 6N Staff. Dad was an extremely hard working, strong in his desire to perfection in each job he undertook.
