

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, May14, 2011 at Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Mozelle was born on November 17, 1928 in San Angelo, Texas to Ed and Rheba Roach McDonald. She was a very loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was also very detail oriented and organized, qualities that helped her succeed at life and being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
During her younger years in high school she liked to swim and even had a job as lifeguard at the Municipal Pool in San Angelo. She also worked at the family owned business, Roach Floral. Her love of flowers and gardening would keep her occupied in her later years. Mozelle married the love of her life, Gene Kilgore, on June 2, 1947 in San Angelo, Texas. They shared 65 wonderful years together.
She was also active in the community. In 1966, she served as Co-Chairman of the first River Parade in San Angelo and helped to build the floats. Mozelle will also be remembered as the matriarch of the family. She was a very hands-on person and showed it through the wonderful meals that she would cook for everyone. As a loving grandmother she would cook for her grandsons and take them food at Texas Tech. She also loved Christmas and Feliz Navidad. She was a wonderful entertainer and would cook elaborate meals to celebrate with her family.
Mozelle was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gene Kilgore and daughter Martha Biggs and husband Larry, all of Richmond, TX; grandchildren: Justin Biggs and wife Leslie of Lubbock and Grant Biggs and wife Michelle of Richmond; great-grandchildren: Blakely and Bennett Biggs of Lubbock and Coleman, Corbin,
and Cooper Biggs of Richmond.
