

Ellis Motl passed from this life on February 15, 2011 continuing his quest for heaven, with God as his Maker and Jesus his Guide. Ellis passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.
He was born October 20, 1932 to Henry and Lottie Motl on Spring Creek Farm in San Angelo, Texas.
Ellis was a long time resident and business man of San Angelo, founding Motl Welding with his wife, Mary in 1962. They worked side by side for 32 years and retired in 1995, passing the torch to their son Daniel and wife Becky.
Ellis is preceded in death by his parents and one son Benjamin Ellis, Jr.
He is survived by Mary Motl, his soul mate and wife of 59 years, daughter Darlene and Eddie Williams, daughter Brenda Motl, and son Daniel and Becky Motl. Grandchildren Michael and Brandy Williams, Eric and Jeanne Williams, Greg and Amy Motl, Jessica Motl, Sean Motl, along with five great grandchildren. Brother Lee Roy and Doris Motl, sister Bonnie Johnson, numerous nieces and nephews, and many lifelong friends. We have lost our Pa, our Superman and hero, and we will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be at Johnson’s Funeral Home from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Graveside services will be held at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 17, 2011.
