

Eloise Franco Parra, 89, passed away in Coppell, Texas surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, June 25, 2017. She was born to the late, Selso and Carmen Torres Franco on April 10, 1928 in Knickerbocker, Texas. She was married to her late husband, F.B. "Shorty" Parra for 47 years at the time of his death. Eloise worked as an event coordinator for over 20 years with ASU, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Mission in Knickerbocker. Eloise was a vibrant lady who loved to laugh, sew and cook. She was especially fond of dancing and often was caught dancing wherever she might be. Her laughter, love for sweets and singing will be missed greatly. Eloise was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Cynthia Rodriguez; and brothers, Arthur Franco and Edward Franco.
Survivors include her son, Jimmie Parra; daughter, Linda Gonzales and husband, Sammy; grandchildren, Mary Jane Hernandez, Jimmy Parra, Jr., Jennifer Gonzales, Lindsay Ramirez and husband, Rudy; 10 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Alvarez, Cecilia Hinojosa, and Elizabeth Chaves; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Johnson's Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Mission, Knickerbocker with interment to follow in the Knickerbocker Catholic Cemetery.
