At 2: 00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015, Mrs. Frances Cleo Denny was received into the eternal care of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior. Frances was born in Axtell, Texas on July 7, 1921 to Mr. Reece S. and Velma V. Hutcheson, both deceased.
Frances fulfilled her working years in the Department of Botany at the University of Texas at Austin, rising from entry level secretary to responsibility as Administrative Assistant II for the Department. In this career she spent thirty-three years, retiring in 1984. She became a resident of San Angelo in 2006.
Due to failing health, Frances entered the care of Gentiva, formerly Odyssey Hospice care of San Angelo, where she received excellent, caring health services until her death. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pete, with whom she lived since 1959. A special thank you is offered to the doctors, nurses and staff of Gentiva, especially, Tina Luna, Nurse Gretel Evans, and former Gentiva nurses, Megan Vick and Frankie Sewell.
Also, special thanks go to Pastor Brandon Clark and members of Celebration Church who consoles those who grieve the passing of Frances and will officiate at the memorial celebration.
During her lifetime, husband Ray Denny, (deceased) and Frances welcomed into the world a son, a daughter, six grandsons, four great-grandsons and a granddaughter. She is survived by son, Stanley and wife, Pat, and daughter, Gail and husband Charles Simmons, all of San Angelo. Cherished younger relations that gladdened her life are: grandsons, Franklin Denny of Austin (deceased), Charles Denny of Seattle; Anthony Palguta of New Braunfels, David Palguta of San Angelo; Joseph Palguta of Amarillo; Stephen Palguta of Magnolia; great grandsons, Riley, Wyatt, Kade, Anthony and Rowan; and great granddaughter, Ivy. Not to be forgotten are the many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces that enhanced her life. A very special note of thanks goes to grandson, David Palguta, who provided day to day assistance in meal preparations and household repair and maintenance when needed.
