Frances Marilyn Goetz, 83, of San Angelo, passed away on January 22, 2019 in Mereta, Texas after a lengthy illness. Marilyn was born on March 14, 1935 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Herschel and Viola Snowden Coin. She married Edwin Goetz in 1962. Marilyn worked at Dr. Michael Cornell’s office and as a mother and granny to all. Her hobbies included watching true crime television shows and Texas Rangers Baseball. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, reading, animals, and Friday night happy hours with family and friends. Marilyn is survived by her son, Billy Goetz and wife Carolyn of Mereta, TX; daughters, Vonda Neeley of Carlsbad, TX, and Edwina Cadwalader of San Angelo, TX; grandchildren, Valerie Goetz of Mereta, Clay Neeley of San Angelo, and John “Punkin” Cadwalader of Fresno, CA.; siblings, Wayne Lee Montgomery of Lake Ivey, Carolyn McDonald of San Angelo, Carrie Wheeler and Beth George of Carlsbad, and Buzzy Singleton of Snyder, TX, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin Goetz; son-in-law, “Mikey” Neeley of Carlsbad; grandsons, Kevin Goetz and Jason Neeley. Open visitation will be Friday, January 25, 2019 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Rowena Protestant Cemetery.
