Geraldine "Gerry" Huckabee

SAN ANGELO Geraldine "Gerry" N. Huckabee was born March 12, 1919, to Andy and Vernie Norris in Rochester, Texas. She married her true love, Roy, June 3, 1939, and they spent almost 63 years together before his death in 2002. She followed him to Heaven on Aug. 15, 2010. Gerry was a loving and devoted wife, mother, homemaker, friend, and loyal member of the First United Methodist Church of San Angelo. She was an Administrative Assistant to U.S. Representative O.C.Fisher in the 1970's. And Gerry and Roy were enthusiastic members of both La Paloma and Terpsichorean. Dance Clubs. Gerry is survived by their son, Rick Claudia Reeder of Albuquerque, N.M., a cousin who was more like a sister, many loving nieces and nephews and their families, special friends Kathie and Ken Powell and family of El Paso, and the friends and neighbors who celebrated her 90th birthday with her, the last birthday at home. The family would like to thank the friendly and caring members of the Regency House community, and especially Jean, Frankie, Cindy, Mary and Chaplain Nancy of Hospice of San Angelo for their love and care. We would also thank Rev. Nathaniel Hankins and members of the First United Methodist Church for their continued support. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at Johnson's Funeral Home and service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17,in the Bartlett, Texas Cemetery.
