Gloria R. Bart

Gloria Bart was born on September 15, 1924 in Clifton, NJ to Eugene and Elizabeth Hilbert. Gloria graduated from Clifton High School in 1942. While on vacation with her mother at Asbury Park, NJ; Gloria met the love of her life; then West Point Cadet Captain, Wayne

Bart. Soon after meeting, Wayne made Gloria his “O.A.O.” (One And Only) and made it official by giving her his West Point “A” pin; lined with pearls, and a guard chain with the numerals “42”, representing his West Point graduating class. Wayne and Gloria were married on September 12, 1942 and had two sons Wayne Jr and Richard. Gloria and Wayne moved to San Angelo in 1972.

Gloria was a faithful military wife and her love, devotion and support were paramount to Wayne’s many successes. Other than her family, Gloria’s proudest moments were as a child entertainer and dancer with her sister Connie; once performing at Radio Center Music Hall in New York.

Gloria will be reunited with the love of her life at the military cemetery located at the United Stated Military Academy, West Point, NY.

Gloria was preceded in death by her Parents; Sister, Connie Fersch; Husband, Lt Col Wayne L. Bart Sr.; Son Wayne L. Bart Jr.; and Grandson, Zackery Bart.

Survivors include Son, Richard Bart Sr. and wife Charlotte of San Angelo; Daughter-in-Law Pat Bart of California; Eight Grandchildren, Eleshia Crotwell and husband Chris, Richard Bart Jr and wife Cynthia; Meaghan Martinez and husband Ricky; Steve Bart and wife Joie; Jeff Bart; Wayne Bart III and wife May; Terry Bart and wife Aimee; Chistopher Bart; Eleven Great Grandchildren, Richard Bart III, Joesi Bart, Whyatt Bart, Sabrina Bart, Jordin Bart, Mariah Martinez, Carley Martinez, Devin Bart, Trevor Bart, Jasmine Bart, Nevaeh Bart and one Great Granddaughter; Emilia Bart.
