

Born on January 5, 1947 to Walter and Daisy Reeves of San Angelo, Tx, Harvey was raised in San Angelo, eventually graduating from Angelo State University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and a master’s degree in counseling. Careers have included: teaching physical education at Fannin Elementary, supervising at Ethicon, and serving as an x-ray technician at Community Hospital.
Harvey cherished the many moments of life that so many mistake for the mundane. He cherished each moment spent with Nan and the boys, playing chase with Brendan, swinging with Stella, riding down the road on his Harley, and meeting with the Geezers for lunch.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Daisy Reeves, and his brother, Wayne Porter. Harvey is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nan, and their two sons, Bradley along with his wife Meghan of Seven Lakes, North Carolina, and Ryan along with his wife Jami of El Paso, Tx. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brendan and Stella Reeves; his mother-in-law Etta Hilton; sister-in-law Lucille Bennett and her husband Jim, sister-in-law Nora Buswell and her husband Rick, sister-in-law Linda Hilton, and sister-in-law Melissa Hilton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The service will be Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jerry Barnard, Jim Kramer, Clint Porter, Kenneth Porter, B.G. Sanders, and Kenny Sanders.
