

Horace, age 81, passed away peacefully September 26, 2014 after battling cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Fred Reibe and Grace Corrine Payne of El Dorado, AR, brothers: Arthur Fred Reibe, Jr. of Metairie, LA and Forrest Reibe of El Dorado, AR. Also, his wife of 45 years, Sally Jean Owens-Reibe.
He is survived by his wife Edie Williams of San Angelo, sons Mike J. Jennings of Larkspur, CO, Scott S. Jennings, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and Tim T. Reibe of Arlington, TX, grandson, Mikel T. S. Jennings of San Antonio, TX, granddaughter, Carson Reibe of Denton, TX and great-grandson, Grayson Jennings of San Antonio, TX.
Horace graduated from Henderson State College – BS Education, 1959, and was Pledge Master and President of Kappa Sigma Kappa. He served with Operation Safe Side, an Air Force Ranger unit during the Vietnam conflict, assigned to the 82nd Combat Security Police Wing and 822nd Combat Security Police Squadron. He went through vigorous, specialized combat training at Schofield Barracks, HI, prior to deployment to the Republic of South Vietnam.
Horace was a loving, devoted husband/father and a proud military veteran of the Korean/Vietnam Wars. His hobbies included traveling, camping and fishing. He’s recognized for volunteering for charitable organizations including Lion’s Club, Neighborhood Watch and hosting foreign military officers training at Goodfellow AFB. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and the community.
A Graveside Service will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society. The family wants to acknowledge the fine work of Dr. Ty Hughston; MD Anderson; Interim Hospice and Park Plaza Nursing Home.
