Jessie Louise Rowe

Jessie Lou Rowe was born May 27, 1927, in San Angelo, Texas, to Herbert P. and Ara Belle Yancy. Jessie went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at the age of 85. Jessie attended college at Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas. In 1947, she married Vernie Horner. Together they had three children. In 1964, Jessie married her second husband, C.B. Rowe. Jessie and C.B. lived in the Sharpstown area for the last 46 years. Jessie worked at C.E. Lummis Co. and retired as head of the payroll department at the age of 56. Jessie was very active at the Sharpstown Baptist Church. Jessie was preceded in death by family members Herbert and Ara Belle Yancy, Rick Horner, Vernie Horner and C.B. Rowe. Jessie is survived by son Keith and Connie Horner and their children, Amanda and Brian George and Kimberly and Kevin Polasek. Also survived by daughter Lisa and Charles Holden with children Brian and Melissa Holden and Kevin and Kandice Holden. Jessie also loved her three great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas, under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Sharpstown Baptist Church.
