Joanne Delores Weatherby, 86, of Big Lake, Texas, passed away December 12, 2016. She was born in Michigan on February 24, 1930. Joanne was married to Johnnie Sim Weatherby on December 8, 1956 in Detroit. She had a passion for the outdoors, gardening, the rodeo, and her dogs. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie Sim Weatherby; son, Joe Dean Weatherby and step son, Jay Sim Weatherby; and her sister, Sandy Hooper. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeff Weatherby and Cindy, and Lynn Weatherby and John Foster; grandchildren, Rusty and wife Ashley, John Olen and wife J.J., Jed and wife Amber, Sam and fiancée Stormie, and Emily Weatherby; and great grandchildren, Audrey, Kimbree, Matti, Haislee, and Phoenix . A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 in Stiles Cemetery.
