John spent many years working as a Chef and enjoyed preparing a meal for anyone. He worked at his family owned restaurant Las Dos Hermanas, Winn-Dixie, Community Hospital, the Old Gin Steakhouse, Goodfellow Air Force Base, and finally at Lowes Bakery. He took great pride in this. John enjoyed time with his family and helping others. He spent his free time fishing with his partners Herman and Willy, grilling, watching movies, listening to oldies music and simply enjoying the company of others. He also loved to spend time with his grandbabies.
John was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Flores, his father Alex Flores and his brother Richard Villarreal. Survivors include his wife Pat Villarreal; his children: Jeremy Villarreal and wife Kari, Ruben DeLaGarza and Denisse and Arianna DeLaGarza; brothers and sisters: Nellie and husband Joe Sosa, Andy Villarreal and wife Susie, Lydia Vega, Eva Arreola and husband Chicko, and Steve Flores and wife Kris; grandkids: Sophia, Spencer and Simon Villarreal, and Aiden and Christian DeLaGarza.
We would like to extend our thanks to the many Doctors and Nurses on 4 South, ICU and Stroke Unit at Shannon Hospital.
John, You will always be in my heart forever, love Pat.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but, that through him, the world might be saved.” John 3:16-17
