Joyce Warrene Lykins

Joyce Warrene Lykins went to be with her Lord and savior on January 3, 2015. Warrene was born on September 24, 1938 in San Angelo, Texas to LH and Betty Canada. Warrene graduated from Lakeview High School in 1957. While attending Lakeview, she met the love of her life, Doyle Ray Lykins. The two were joined in holy matrimony on May 31, 1957. Doyle and Warrene made their home in San Angelo. Warrene worked at Day Elementary and Doyle was employed with Terrill Manufacturing for 41 years. Doyle and Warrene had three beautiful boys Dirk, Devin and Chris. Warrene enjoyed playing golf and traveling very much, but her greatest love was spending countless hours with her 8 beautiful grandchildren. Warrene is survived by her husband Doyle Lykins of San Angelo, TX, sons Dirk Lykins and wife Eliza of Dallas, TX, Devin Lykins and wife Jan of Groves, TX, Chris Lykins and wife Tiffany of San Angelo, TX, a sister Delores McCullough and husband Weldon of Liano, TX, grandchildren: Amanda, Whitney, Jake, Shelby, Dani, Josh, Core and Chance. She is also survived by five great grandchildren: Max, Rylee, Milo, Audrey and Kevin. Warrene proceeded in death by her parents LH and Betty Canada, sister Valley Jo Canada and brother, Edgar Canada. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 2:00p.m. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the employees of Beehive Homes of San Angelo (Assisted Living Facility), as well as Gentiva Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request all donations be made to Gentiva Hospice.
