He was born on May 22, 1972 in Roxas City, Philippines to Dr Juan & Cecilia Alegre.
Tony attended Dunedin High School in Dunedin, Florida and graduated in the class of 1990. His parents ran an Assisted Living Facility (ALF) in Florida at that time and decided near the end of 1993 to move their business to San Angelo, Texas. By 1994 his parents and three younger siblings Jon, Mike & Cheryl had moved from Clearwater, Florida to San Angelo, Texas.
Not long after moving to San Angelo, he went on to obtain an Associate’s degree in electronics from American Commercial College. After, he began his venture into the automotive industry working for various automotive companies only to realize he didn’t like being told what to do. It was then that his parents encouraged him to start a business of his own since he and his brothers were always ordering parts for their own vehicles, so much so that they had developed a rapport with the vendors. So, it only seemed right. In 1996, Xcessive Motorsports was born. He was always involved some aspect of the automotive industry, from detailing cars, to stereos, and as most know him for, performance-down to the motor. Through his business he was able to share his passion and love for all things cars with others, with the integrity and kindness that his parents instilled in him and his siblings.
He is survived by his mother Cecilia Alegre, brothers, Jon, and Mike and sister, Cheryl and his favorite nephew, Brock. They invite you all to celebrate his life and letting him rest in peace on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:00am in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Additionally, Tony wants you all to know, that black attire is optional.
