Larson Hunter Day, 24, passed away Friday evening in Lubbock, Texas. Born on November 13, 1987 to Gordy and Angela Day in San Angelo, Larson had a wonderful life and seemed to have the best of everything. He loved to golf and ski anytime he had the chance. There were not many things that Larson had not accomplished. Among his greatest achievements, Larson particularly enjoyed flying his plane that was kept in Lubbock. He had been skydiving, driven a racecar at the Texas Motor Speedway, and had his scuba certification all by his early twenties. He had many friends, most of whom he had known since his childhood at Crockett Elementary. From Crockett, to Glenn, to Central High School, his friends were with him as he grew up. Larson went on to attend Texas Tech University in 2006, where he majored in economics and history and became a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Anyone could tell you he had the time of his life in Lubbock. Larson was soon joined at Tech by his two sisters Annalisa and Lorelei. Living only a street away from them, Larson was always more than happy to be there for anything the girls needed. Those who were blessed to know him can all say that Larson’s presence lit up whatever room he was in. It was an honor, privilege, and a downright good time to know Larson Day. Larson is survived by his parents Gordy and Angela, his sisters Annalisa and Lorelei, his uncle Graeme Day, grandparents Homer and Betty Nabors, uncle and aunt Tim and Christie Nabors, cousins Dustin, Stephanie, Laura, and Leslie Nabors, his girlfriend Julie Green, and his two Labrador Retrievers Layla and June Day. Larson’s love for all those he knew will never be forgotten and his intellect, humor, and ambitions will live on forever through his friends and family. Donations may be made to the West Texas Boys Ranch, 10223 Boys Ranch Road, San Angelo, TX 76904, or a charity of choice.
