Lillian Revere Eckert, of Rockport, Texas, died on September 17, 2011, of natural causes. Born in Graham, Texas in 1922, she graduated from San Angelo High School in 1940. She married Martin Paul Eckert in 1946 in Corpus Christi. They lived in Odessa, Texas for many years before moving to the Houston area in 1971. In 2000, they moved to Rockport where they lived together until Martin’s death in 2002.
She lived a long and full life supporting her family in every way with her gentle kindness and caring way.
She is predeceased by her husband Martin, brothers Le Eustis Works and Dudley Works, and sister Marguerite Vann. She is survived by her daughter, Deirdre Eckert Odom of Rockport, Texas; her son, Martin Paul Eckert, Jr. of Houston, Texas; along with four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Miles Cemetery in Miles, Texas. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Johnson’s Funeral Home.
