Linda Ruth Jones, age 69, of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Linda was born September 14,1952 in Haskell, Texas to Albert and Betty Landreth. Linda married Lee Roy Jones on June 4,1971 and they had two boys, James and Doug. They lived in Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma and settled for retirement in San Angelo to be closer to their family.
Alongside her husband, she enjoyed traveling, camping, and fishing with their sons and later grandchildren. She loved to read and enjoyed sitting quietly reading or listening to a good book. She enjoyed shopping and giving to others. She also, enjoyed watching and cheering for all sports, especially football. She collected many items including porcelain dolls, unicorns, teddy bears and plants. What she treasured the most was her family and spending time with them.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Betty Landreth; her husband Lee Roy Jones; brother-in-law Gary Brannan; sister-in-law Sue Taylor, sister-in-law Winnie Jernigan; sister-in-law Bonnie McDonald; and sister-in-law Jackie Parker. She is survived by her son James Jones; her son Doug Jones and wife Christy; her siblings Sherry Jernigan and husband Ronny; Janet Brannan; Dwayne Landreth and wife Cindy; brother-in-law Billy Taylor. Her grandchildren Jessie Jones and wife April; Emily Jones; Isaac Jones, Brett Jones; Dawson Jones; Fletcher Jones, Gavin Jones and Holden Jones. Great-grandchildren Logan Jones and Liam Jones (due in May); along with many nieces and nephew and other relatives.
A visitation for Linda will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.at Johnson's Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Rule Cemetery, Rule, Texas
