Lowell E. Ray

Lowell E. Ray 92, of San Angelo passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Senior Care of Meadow Creek. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Scott Cotton of Glen Meadows Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers will be the grandsons; Scott Ray Baxter, Kevin Hosier, Chad Harlow, Brandon Bible, Dale Harris, and Darren Harlow. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home. Lowell was born September 7, 1923 in San Angelo to John R. and Ollie E. Ray. Lowell and Margaret Chandler Ray were married October 5, 1945. She preceded him in death January 15, 1997. Lowell worked for Shook Tire Company for many years and then started Ray’s Auto Supply. Survivors are his daughters, Jean Baxter of San Angelo, Lynda Bacon and husband Richard of Denton, TX; grandchildren, Scott Ray Baxter and wife Jackie of San Angelo, Cheryl Bible and husband Brandon of Flower Mound, Lana Hosier and husband Kevin of Montgomery, Natalie Harris and husband Dale of Mertzon, and Kerry Harlow and husband Chad of New Braunfels, also 12 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly, and numerous nieces and nephews.
