Lucille Russell passed away at her home in San Angelo on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013. She was born to the late Horace and Nellie Rogers in 1914, in Buffalo Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Russell; sister Inez Black; and son John Lee (Sonny) Henderson Jr. She enjoyed playing bridge, playing piano and completing the crossword puzzle every morning of the world. She is survived by daughter Helen West of California; grandchildren Virginia Howell and husband John of El Paso, John Lee Henderson III and wife Jeannine of Ozona, Schel and Cove West of California; and six great-grandchildren. Her family would like to thank her caregivers, Rosa Martinez, Laura Reyna, Emma Cardenas and Aurora Garcia for the kindness, patience and care of their mother and grandmother during her final years. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ozona. Family and friends may sign the online register book at johnsons-funeralhome.com.
