Maria R DeLaCruz

Maria R. DeLaCruz, 79, of San Angelo passed away Tuesday October 27,2015 at Community Medical Center. She was born on June 19, 1936 in Ciudad Acuna Coahuila , Mexico to Leandro and Agustina Robago. Maria moved to Texas in her early twenties and resided in San Angelo for 35 years. She married her husband , Ricardo De La Cruz Sr. in September 21, 1957 and from this union they raised their family of seven children.

Maria was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother as well as church member at the Jerusalem Assembly of God, she was a very spiritual woman who enjoyed gardening and loved spending the holidays with her beloved family and friends. She had a very special way of making all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren feel as though they were her favorite although she loved each and every one of them with all of her heart. Maria touched the lives of everyone she happen to meet leaving a lasting impression of a kind and beautiful woman who always was able to see the goodness in everyone who was fortunate enough to have her in their lives.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ricardo Sr. , daughters, Mary Zurita & husband Mario, Teresita Gutierrez & huband Jose , Veronica Lopez & husband Eddie , Maricela Palacio and husband Arturo , sons Richard De La Cruz Jr.and wife Pat , Isaac De La Cruz & Sylvia and Noe De La Cruz & Yolanda , sisters, Esperanza Aguirre & Martina Garcia and a brother, Lupe Rodriguez. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren & 21 great grandchildren.

She is pre deceased in death by her parents Leandro and Agustina Robago.

Funeral services for Maria will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Jerusalem Assembly of God in San Angelo. Interment will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens . Visitation is on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Johnson’s Funeral Home from 7 to 9 PM. Gentlemen serving as Pallbearers , Orlando Zurita , Anthony DeLaCruz, Carlos Lopez Jr. , Edward Lopez , Joey Ayala & Alex DeLaCruz.
