Maria Dejesus Rodriguez

Susie was born on Auguest 6, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas to Juan and Petra Guillen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paz Rodriguez, siblings, Ramona Fronseca,

Genaro Zapata, and Juan Zapata. Also,by a daughter Gloria Valadez, and a son Carlos (Chale) Rodriguez.

She is survived by her children, Richard, Yolanda, Eddie, and Ricardo Rodriguez. She is also survived

by 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Susie was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She lived her life by her Christian values and set a wonderful example for all who knew her. She was known for wearing the newest fashion and accessories and loved to shop. She was known to her grandchildren as "Wela," "Mommy Susie," and "little grandma." She worked and retired from Zales after 25 years of service.

Prayer service will be Sunday, January 15th, at 8pm at Johnson's funeral home. Funeral will be held 10:00am Monday, January 16th, at Johnson Street Church of Christ with burial at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Roy and Ray Valadez, Ricardo and Rick Rodriguez II, Jay Jordan, and Carlos Rodriguez Jr.
