Mary Belle Shriver

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.

Mary was a very giving and loving person. She always took care of those in need. She made quilts for the Cherokee Boys Ranch and the West Texas Boys Ranch so they could raise money for their organizations. Mary was the biggest fan of bluegrass music. If she wasn’t listening to her bluegrass, she was reading a book. She loved to read anything and everything. She loved to sew, bake, and cook. Pumpkin and pecan pies were her specialty. She also loved her cats.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Esther Hochstetler. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Willard; sons, Don Shriver and wife Penny of Waco, and Dan Shriver and wife Dana of Eldorado; grandkids: Dawn Shriver, Jeremy Shriver and wife Esther, Makayla Shriver, Lindsey Shriver, Levi Shriver, Aaron Parsley, Brian Shriver, and Dustin Shriver; one great-grandchild Haylee Shriver; and several nieces and nephews in Ohio.
