Michael Anthony Ballard

He was born on May 27, 1960 in San Angelo, Texas to Mr. John Henry Ballard and Mrs. AnnaBelle Haywood Ballard. Michael attended Central High School and later joined the United States Army. He proudly served until his retirement with an honorable discharge.

Michael was an active member of BibleWay Ministries and had a passion for people. He met no strangers and loved giving and sharing with others even if it was his last. Michael will always be remembered for his service to the community, sharing his home, and his food.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. John Henry Ballard and Mrs. AnnaBelle Ballard; maternal grandparents, Mr. Harry Hannibal Haywood, Sr. and Mrs. Lorena Belle Dimery Haywood.

Left to cherish Michael’s memory are his special lady, Pam Tryles and her children, Terrance, Tanyesha, Toyree, Tosha & husband, and Traimyne; siblings, Sally Ayana, John E. Thomas, Vavette M. Ballard, and Angela R. Haywood; uncle Ret. Major Charles Haywood, Sr.; cousin Ret. Captain Edward L. Abram; and best friend, Bobby Benton. Also left to cherish Michael’s memory are a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and close friends of the family, Mrs. Erma Brooks; family-in-laws Rev. & Mrs. Johnny Frazier, Sr. and family, and Mrs. Laverne Gordon and family.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held at BibleWay Ministries, 2103 Shelton St, San Angelo, TX 76903, on Thursday September 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
