Milton Wilson

Family visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Mereta Cemetery. Chaplain Travis Monday and Pastor Randy Bush will officiate.

Milton was born on August 18, 1931 to Lydia and William F. Wilson in Mereta, Texas. He attended school in Eola, Texas and then joined the U.S. Marine Corps on March 1, 1950. He saw service in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts during that time. On November, 2, 1963, he married Phyllis Nusbaumer. He retired from the Marine Corps on April 1, 1970 after achieving the rank of First Sergeant. He then moved to Miles, Texas where he lived until 2009, at which time he moved into San Angelo. Phyllis passed away on July 20, 1996. He then married Pat Russell on November 26, 1999. He worked for many years at City Lumber Company in San Angelo. He was also a member of Harris Avenue Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Miles, Gideons Internation, the Easter Star #826, the VFW and the VVA.

Milton is survived by his wife Pat Wilson of San Angelo; children: Christy AuYeung and husband David of Carrollton, TX and their children Liza, Josh and Julie, Chuck Wilson of Isle Of Wight, England, Bo Wilson and wife Richelle of Miles, TX and their children Madison, Hannah and Hasting, step-son Adam Green and wife Rebecca of Kent, England and their children Oscar and Baxter; and his sisters Engedi Parmer and Jackie Smith.

Pallbearers for the service will be Bart Johnson, Jim Rasor, Mike Hale, Johnny Coats, Gary Parmer and Mickey Smith.

The family would like to give a sincere thanks to Dr. Prieto and his staff at the Oncology Department at Community Hospital, the Radiology Department at RCTC and Dr. Morton and his staff at CMA.
