Myrle West

Myrle West of San Angelo, TX passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023. She was born on May 16, 1935 in Stanton, TX to Bob and Lola Fuller. Myrle married Dale West on May 8, 1954, together they had 3 beautiful children. She worked as a supervisor for Levi Strauss for 37 years. Myrle was a proud member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and had a passion for baseball, flowers, softball, bowling, volleyball and as a seamstress. Anyone who knew Myrle will remember her baking and sewing, she truly was a fisher of men helping anyone find their way to the Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her first husband Dale West; her second husband Everett Dodson whom she married in 2004; she was also preceded in death by Benjamin Fuller, Lola Owens, Arnold Fuller, Arnie Fuller, Lula Bell Fuller, Sidney Fuller, Richard Fuller and son Keith West. Those left to cherish her memory are her children Teresa Barrows (Kenneth) and Mary Street (David); her grandchildren David West (Tina), James Barrows (Melissa), John Barrows (Tama), Haley Parsley (Kyle) and Penny Rainey (Bobby) and her great grandchildren Aidan Barrows, Jayden Barrows, Macey Barrows, Dawson Barrows, Tripp Polson, Parker Parsley, Bryan, Novalee and Daniel Rainey, Ashleigh and Olivia Stapp. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A celebration of Myrle’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jim Wilkerson officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a memorial donation to meals for the elderly and Hospice of San Angelo. The family would also like to thank Regency, Hospice of San Angelo and nurses Lindi, Laramie, Whitney, Girlie, Steven, Brittany and Cindy.
