

Naomi B. Harrison, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away January 11, 2012 at her residence. She left her home here on Earth to once again join her beloved husband, Harry Harrison, whom she dearly missed.
Naomi was born December 30th, 1923 to Walter and Mary Burrows in Gorman, TX. She met and married Harry Frank Harrison on February 11th, 1945 in San Angelo, celebrating 56 wonderful years of marriage. Naomi worked as a secretary for the Civil Service Commission, serving 30 years at Goodfellow AFB and ending her career in North Bay Ontario working for the American Station at NORAD. Naomi and her husband Harry enjoyed travel to areas of the US and Mexico, finding a particular fondness for the Big Bend area of Texas. They shared a love for outdoor activities, gardening and each other. Naomi, as well as her husband were active members in the Sierra Club in San Angelo, and attended Immanuel Baptist Church also in San Angelo.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Burrows and her husband Harry Harrison in 2001. She is survived by her son Mark T. Harrison, and wife Dee of San Angelo; daughter Kaye Harrison of Hurst, TX; grandson Drayton Harrison and wife Brynne, of San Angelo; granddaughter Sonia Marlow and husband Joe of Bedford, TX; st and great-grandchildren Lee, Joshua and Matthew Marlow.
Naomi will be greatly missed by her family, but we take comfort in knowing that she is pain free, and reunited with her soul mate.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to VistaCare Hospice for allowing her to spend her last days in the comfort of her home.
Graveside service conducted by Johnson’s Funeral Home will take place Saturday January 14th, 2012 at 10 A.M. at Fairmount Cemetery.
