Nicholas S Garcia

Nicolas was born August 6, 1941 in Christoval, TX to Nicholas T. Garcia and Manuela Garcia. As a young child he learned the trades of construction, buying and fixing old houses and selling them. He then went on to become a professional construction contractor, mass producing big projects and building 90 percent of San Angelo’s apartment complexes.

He married his beloved wife Bertha Garcia on March 20, 1971. He loved to hang out with friends and family by going on camping and fishing trips. And he especially loved to go fishing down in Old Mexico. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and loved traveling to see all of their events.

Survivors include his wife Bertha Garcia, his sons Nick Garcia III and wife Argelia Garcia, Danny Garcia and Abel Garcia, daughter Lorena Garcia Chansey and husband Vanh Chansey, Brother Mike Garcia, sister Martha Garcia, grandchildren Nick Garcia IV, Mayte Garcia and Bertha Ellena Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends who loved him.

A Rosary will be held 7:00PM Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be 10:00AM Monday, February 21, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father David officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Nick Garcia III, Nick Garcia IV, Abel Garcia, Vanh Chansey, Michael Garcia and Roman Flores.

The Garcia’s would like to give a special thanks to many friends and family for their constant concerns and prayers and special thanks to Father David.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or your favorite charity.
