Rachel Rodriguez Sanchez of San Angelo went to be with her Savior on December 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Rachel was born in San Angelo to the late Jesus and Maxima Rodriguez on March 19, 1933. She has joined her beloved husband Manuel Trevino Sanchez. Rachel had a passion for gardening. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Manuel Sanchez and siblings. Those left to cherish her life are her daughters Susana Valencia and Leticia “Letty” Sanchez; her sons Carlos Sanchez and Eduardo Sanchez; one grandson Hector Acevedo; one granddaughter Christi Acevedo; seven great grandsons Adam Martinez, Keegan Acevedo, Jose Duran, II, Trentyn Acevedo, Juanito Duran, Tristyn Acevedo and Leroy Torres; four great granddaughters Christi Duran, Natlie Duran, Adalyn Acevedo and Morgan Sanchez; great-great grandchildren Makai Duran and Mayshon Duran and numerous nieces and nephews. Though she will be missed, we know that she is at eternal rest, reunited with her love of her life waiting for the day we all join them in Heaven. Our family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the many hands that cared for her and our family during her journey home, including Dr.’s, nurses and staff, Solaris Hospice Lindsay and Martha and meals on wheels. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A celebration of Rachel’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Hector Acevedo, Keegan Acevedo, Trentyn Acevedo, Adam Martinez, Jose Duran II and Juanito Duran.
