Graveside services for Retha Phillips Hester, 86, of San Angelo are 2 pm Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Open visitation will be 8 to 5 pm on Monday, February 4th.

Mrs. Hester passed Friday, February 1, 2019 in San Angelo. She was born October 24, 1932 in Hawley, Texas. Retha married Eudelle Hester in Abilene in 1949 and they moved to the San Angelo area. She worked for the San Angelo State School in the Accounting department for 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eudelle on February 27, 2005.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, David Hester of San Angelo and Sherry and Curtis Shelton of Dripping Springs; five grandchildren: Calvin Hester and Amanda Hester, Jennifer Shelton and Amy Shelton and Melissa Taylor; and 6 great grandchildren.
