Robert "Bob" Joseph Kvapil

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Friday, September 21st at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, September 22nd at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Rowena. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home. A lunch for the family and friends will be served at 11:30 AM at Holy Angels. Bob was born November 1, 1934 in Runnels County, Texas to E.L. and Hilda (Haechten) Kvapil. Bob worked for 23 years in the meat department at M’System Food Store and then went into business for himself first with the Miles Locker Plant and then the BYOB Water Store in Ballinger. Bob was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.

Bob was married to Elizabeth “Betty” Holtman on November 9, 1957 in Wall, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Bill Kvapil and his father and mother-in-law Mike and Gertrude Holtman.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Kvapil of San Angelo; son, Mark Kvapil and wife Nancy of Edinburg; daughters, Bonnie Miles and husband Grady of Denton and Melinda Woodul and husband Clay of Cedar Park. Bob is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, whom he loved and was very proud of. He is also survived by a sister, Joyce Kvapil, of San Angelo and three nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes to have memorials made to the American Diabetic Association or a favorite charity.
