

Rodolfo G. “Rudy” Treviño, 62, of Dallas, formerly of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. Rudy was born July 8, 1950 in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico to Rodolfo and Olivia Garza Treviño. He grew up in San Angelo, graduating from Central High School in 1969. Rudy then went on to attend and graduate from Angelo State University in 1972, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He met and later married the love of his life, Yvonne Gonzales, in Ballinger, Texas on October 28, 1972. They were blessed with 39 beautiful years together. During high school, Rudy went to work for GTE and continued working for the company for 25 years. Rudy’s expertise in communications allowed him to become an entrepreneur with a number of businesses in the United States and Latin America. His great success in business was only surpassed by his love and dedication to his family. He was a truly loving and devoted son, husband, father, brother and uncle. He had a true gift for balancing business and family. Rudy had many hobbies. He was an avid sportsman who loved playing golf, tennis, going skiing and scuba diving. Rudy also enjoyed cooking, reading, and had a tremendous passion for all kinds of music. He had a great zest for life. Rudy will live on in our hearts forever. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Noah Mannashe Harston and Mi’er Chessid Harston and his father-in-law, Rafael Q. Gonzales. Rudy is survived by his adoring family; wife, Yvonne Treviño, of Dallas, TX; his children, David Treviño and his fiancée, Kim Kraimer, of Tampa, FL, and Tara Harston and her husband Brandon, of Dallas, TX; his parents, Rodolfo Treviño, Sr. and Olivia Treviño, of San Angelo; his mother-in-law, Emma Gonzales, of San Angelo; his sisters, Santa Pena and her husband, Lorenzo, of Grand Prairie, TX, and Sylvia Allen and her husband Stan, of Crane, TX; his brother, Jerry Treviño, of San Angelo; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends. Pallbearers for the service will be Julian Gonzales, Ray Gonzales, Hector Martinez, Jeremiah Peña, Jerry Treviño, and Paul Whitsel.
The Prayer Service will be 7:00 P.M., Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 27, 2012 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lorenzo Peña officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
