Roman Castro was born July 11, 1963 in San Angelo, Texas and grew up on a ranch outside Sterling City Texas, where he developed his love for horses. Roman began working in the oil field at 18 years old and retired from Hibernia Resources in November 2020.
Roman married his best friend Linda, on June 27, 2000.
Roman passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2021 surrounded by his family in San Angelo, Texas. He was proceeded in death by his sister, Patsy Lopez and his mother, Noemi Castro.
Roman is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Castro, of 21 years, his father, Roman Castro Sr and brothers Pete and Joe Castro. Also surviving are "his kids" Adrian, Spencer, Kimberly and Brandi Castro, all of San Angelo, Texas, LeAnn Dukes and Alanna Roark of Louisiana and his beloved horse, Sofie. Roman adored and loved spending time with all of his grandchildren; Daniel, Nathaniel, Abbie Grace, Rowdy and Gunner.
Roman loved all flowers and will be dearly missed by all.

An open visitation will be held at Johnson's funeral home on Sunday from noon to 8 pm. Funeral services are 2 pm Monday at Johnson's Funeral Home with interment following at Johnson's Lawnhaven.
