Ruby Taylor

Ruby Faye Schlake Taylor passed away in a Fredericksburg nursing home, at the age of 91, Saturday, November 5. Ruby was born October 27, 1920 in San Antonio. She was the daughter of William W. and Bertha R. Schlake. Ruby graduated high school from Edison High.

Ruby married Henry Gillespie Taylor in San Antonio. She worked many years for and retired from American Hospital and Life Insurance Company before moving to San Angelo in 1975 where she enjoyed retirement with friends, relatives and church work.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents William and Bertha Schlake and her husband Henry G. (Bill) Taylor. She is survived by her son Rodney and wife Melodee of Llano, grandson Heath and wife Kay of Georgetown, granddaughter Terra and Jud Willett of Austin, great-granddaughter Addison Taylor of Georgetown and great-grandson Graham of Georgetown.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens
