She was born on October 2, 1935 to Alma and Nannie Goldsmith.
Sallie worked and retired from Ethicon after more than 20+ years with the company. She was a faithful member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene, a church family that she deeply loved.
She loved traveling, working with kids, playing Mexican train at the senior citizens center, seeing the bluebonnets, traveling to tour the Christmas lights, working and always volunteering with the church, making all kinds of crafts & her love of sports especially the Cowboys.
Anyone that knew her loved her instantly; she would always greet you with a smile and a hug.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alma & Nannie Goldsmith, her husband Bill Miller, a sister Annie B. Arnold and a brother Almer K. Goldsmith.
She is survived by her daughters Joyce (Alta) Butler, and Jessie Miller Jones, both of San Angelo, TX.
Her Brothers, Willie D Goldsmith (Jodie) of Kent, Washington, Albert Goldsmith, Ft Worth, TX & Lois Goldsmith of Vivian, LA.
Her sisters, Jessie Roberts, Bernice Franklin, and Ruth Crystal all of Roswell, NM., Azzie Daniels, Hessie Lyons (Henry) and Mattie Goldsmith all of Dallas, TX.
Other children she leaves behind are Merline Miller Ussery of San Angelo, TX., Peaches Cobb of Florida, Janie (Rick) Wheeler & Margaret Miller both of San Angelo, TX.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Stephen (Shuntaya) Butler, Christopher Jones, Jesse Jones Gerald Butler & Aaron Jones all of San Angelo, TX.
Her Great granddaughter Jaliyah Renay Butler of San Angelo, TX.
And three very special people who came into her life that she loved as her own, Margo Lewis, Myracle & Malaysia Foley.
She leaves a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A visitation for Sallie will be held from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 25, 2021 at First Church of The Nazarene at 11:00 am with Reverend Joni Lancaster presiding. Burial will follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
