Sherman Smith

Sherman Dwayne Smith, age 50, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2019. He was born in Big Lake to Nollie Joe and Ruby Nell Smith on May 13, 1969. He lived in Big Lake all his life. Sherman was preceded in death by his grandparents, both parents, as well as one brother, Milford Smith and a nephew.

He leaves behind brothers J.H. (Mary), and Arthur (Vera) and sisters, Marianna, Kathy, and Marilyn (A.G.). He had a large family which included 15 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Sherman had a host of friends, some of whom included Rey, Eric, Freddy, Frankie, Henry, Mark, Bubba, Sonny, Nick and many others. He loved playing dominoes, pool and pitching washers. Sherman will always be remembered for his big smile and warm heart.

Services will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11AM at First Baptist Church in Big Lake. Burial to follow at Glen Rest Cemetery.
